Itinerary:
Agafay desert excursion is one of the remarkable day trips from Marrakech, especially for those who don’t have time to do a desert tour to the vast Sahara Desert and desire to explore the desert. Agafay desert is located just at 30 kilometers southwest of Marrakech, and it’s a vast stone desert with rocky hills as far as the eye can admire, offering charming views on the Atlas Mountains covered with snow, and many Berber villages along the way through the this wonderful desert.
Our excursion starts at 9H Am from your accommodation in Marrakech where we will pick you up and depart for an adventure in Agafay desert, by an air-conditioned comfortable SUV. After driving out of Marrakech and passing through a various small villages besides the way, we will go off road and driving through completely different scenery of stone desert and panoramic views on the high hills. In the middle of the desert you will experience camel riding, and then you will take stop to enjoy lunch in a traditional Berber tent overlooking the desert. After a quiet stay you will speed through the hills with ATV excursion. Next we will continue to explore Amizmiz, a Berber village with weekly market every Tuesday before driving back to Marrakech where our excursion ends at around 5H Pm.
